Well this was a first. Got to the airport and realized I was sitting at the gate in so much back pain that I cancelled my flight 10 minutes before boarding and went back home.

The gate agents were confused about why my cancel request was so simple.

I should know better than to send an email asking if I should do "a or b", because of course the response was "yes please"

I don't want to speak too soon, but so far I slept a solid 8 hours last night and didn't get tired during the mid morning slump, so I think I may have avoided jet lag entirely this trip! #travel

I decided I would appreciate being home at 9:30am instead of 5pm more than I will be annoyed at having to wake up at 4:30am, so I changed my flight home to the early flight. Hope I don't oversleep! #travel

Any German speakers want to tell me if my instinct on this is correct?

"Ganz kleine Nachtmusik" is the name of a piece of music by Mozart that was just discovered. (He later titled a piece "Eine kleine Nachtmusik")

The English press about this is translating it as "Very little night music" which seems wrong? I feel like either "Quite small night music" or "Completely small night music" would be more accurate.

When does "ganz" change from "quite" to "completely"? Is it ambiguous here?

Someone broke through the chain link fence last week, in broad daylight, while I was home, and didn't notice at the time.

I started thinking about what I could do about it, and it turns out the EA Unifi cameras have a new webhook feature. So now my cameras send a webhook to Home Assistant when someone crosses a virtual line, and it will trigger the siren. Since this is a line crossing event, not generic person detection, I can leave it armed 24/7, since nobody should be in that area at all.

I've been finishing my 100 short 30-60-second songs by uploading them to an AI tool and having it extend them. So far I'm done with 60/100 songs! I also started making videos to document the process, and the first video is up!

I've been using AI to extend my 100 Days of Music sketches into full length songs and it's been super fun! I upload the song I wrote and tell it to extend it, give it some guidance, then piece it back together in Logic Pro. I've finished 25 songs so far!

me: $30 is way too much for 16oz of vegan cheese mix!

My new hobby is finding vegan mac and cheese sauce powder products online, and looking at the ingredient list and trying to recreate it

ok I think I just got my Home Assistant set up with Matter and Thread using the SkyConnect USB dongle and I have to say this is way more complicated than it should be and those names are terrible. I hope this gets smoothed out in the next couple years!
