I may have gone a little overboard with adding dramatic background music to this screencast. https://developer.okta.com/blog/2018/07/09/five-minute-php-app-auth #countdown

Good: the screws I ordered from China arrived 2 days before the 14-30 day delivery window.

Bad: they are 2mm too short for what I need!

I think that's all the brain power I've got for today. Feels good to have another IndieAuth server implementation in the wild now tho!

I just implemented an IndieAuth server for Aperture, which sounds crazy but it's actually pretty cool. Now you can log in to apps like https://indiepaper.io and they can post content directly into a private channel!

If you have an Aperture account, try logging in to Quill using https://aperture.p3k.io as your URL. Here's a little demo of it in action!

    OAuth for the Open Web

A little about the challenges of using #OAuth2 in a distributed setting for WordPress, GitLab, Mastodon, and more. Spoiler: it's not all bad news. Let's make this happen!

  • OAuth for the Open Web

OAuth has become the de facto standard for authorization and authentication on the web. Nearly every company with an API used by third party developers has implemented OAuth to enable people to build apps on top of it.

My solution to avoid the pain of renewing domains every year: register them for 5 years at a time. 😂💸

    One more newline test.

Apparently the last change broke how my posts display in Mastodon, this should look better now.

    RIP https://www.moves-app.com

You can use my location tracking app as a replacement, tho it requires you set up your own backend for it. But at least that way you're the only one who can decide to shut it down!

  • Savory Zucchini Waffles

    Ingredients

    • 2 large zucchini
    • 1 cup chickpea flour
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup canola oil
    • 2 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp egg replacer
    • salt
    • 1 cup water

    Instructions

Grate the zucchini into a large mixing bowl.

Add all ingredients except water into the bowl and mix until combined. Add the water slowly and mix until the mix reaches a consistency of batter.

Pour 1/2 cup batter into a waffle maker. Cook until the steam stops coming out of the waffle iron, about 10 minutes.

It's CSA season again! That means it's the time of year where we have way too many veggies appear every week and have to come up with creative ways to use them!

This is a zucchini waffle topped with a lemon pea spread.

Used three zucchinis and 2 pounds of peas. Only required two ingredients we didn't already have in the kitchen: fresh parsley and a preserved lemon.
