So #Identiverse is using an AI tool to summarize all the conference talks and it works about as terribly as you'd imagine.

Nowhere in my talk did I say "OAuth 3.0", nor did I say anything about global privacy regulation compliance. It straight up hallucinated quotes from me. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Finally took pics of the @Delta Parallel Reality experience. TL;DR, you scan your BP and a smart billboard uses face recognition to present your information just to you, using a parallactic display to ensure your text can only be seen from your position.

Oh but they already have multifactor auth in their login page!

Username, password, and that "last name" box that pops up right before you're about to click log in, which also breaks password managers πŸ˜‡πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

I’m not going to tolerate a cult of reality deniers. Simply mentioning that most of company (bird) has been fired or quit is not political or biased.
If you’re going to continue hallucinogenic nonsense to everyone online, you’re going to find it increasingly difficult to exist
    Aaron Parecki
lol I had someone comment a much more polite version of that on my last stream and I was just like πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I don't get how some people are able to ignore the basic facts, or treat reporting on facts as "political"

huh, I wouldn't have figured those kinds of displays would be 4k, 120hz, HDR capable, etc., but maybe economies of scale make that make sense.
    Aaron Parecki
I take it back. I searched around and nearly all the commercial displays I'm finding now also have a computer inside usually with some sort of digital signage platform preinstalled πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

I'm hanging on to my 2015 ViewSonic not-smart commercial display as long as I can

I played around with it for a minute but I can't figure out how to add the weather widgets on top of my own background image for the lock screen. Is that possible?
    Aaron Parecki
oh I just figured it out. You have to make a *new* wallpaper, you can't add widgets to an existing non-widget-based wallpaper πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Apparently I'm disrespectful not for the community because I live streamed at the same time as another creator on a ONE TIME scenario which was Apple event day.

From now on there can only be one active livestream on youtube at a time

TIL that your @netlify preview and branch deploys stick around forever, the only way to get rid of them is to delete the entire site. Better hope you never commit anything confidential/sensitive or any JS that calls out to external services... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

My challenge to web developers is this: I should be able to type as fast into your text input as I can into a plain-old <input> or <textarea> with no JavaScript handlers on them. If I can't, then the event handlers should be debounced, and/or they should do less JavaScript work.

randomly decided to check my spam folder today and found a week-old email from a client asking if they could pay an invoice using @Wise and asked for my bank account number.

Me: No I would like to keep 2FA on, I just am getting this error msg.

We use Endicia at home for repair and replacement shipping with USPS.

I'm in the process of switching my desktop from a PC to a Mac.

Endicia accounts are...tied to specific desktop operating systems. To buy shipping labels from them on a Mac, i need to open a second account.
