Been hacking away on a new IndieWeb project called Fortress! It’s meant to be a way to simplify sign-in support for IndieWeb-compatible services (think Monocle or http://indiebookclub.biz/). You can check it out at fortress.black.af. [Here’s my site’s scan](https://fortress.black.af/demo?url=https%3A%2F%2Fjacky.wtf%2F]. I expose a lot of info!

Made some significant progress today on an approximately 2,800 word feature article on the W3C Micropub spec with some motivation, examples, use cases, etc. Needs some editing, a bit of artwork, and some screenshots, but we’re nearly there.

Have a few ideas about placement already…

This inline website editor by Grant is looking very exciting! Powered entirely by IndieWeb building blocks: microformats (to understand the content on your page) and micropub (to make new posts and edits).

I was reading a post by Greg McVerry when I happened upon the credit for his featured photo. At first I had thought it was a stock photo, and when I realized it was from a IndieWebCamp, I looked closer and noticed that Aaron Parecki’s website was featured on the photo in the cell phone. I looked a bit closer and thought “someone has doctored his avatar as it’s tilted in the photo.” Then, knowing Aaron, I thought I had better check on my cell phone.

It turns out if you visit his site on a cell phone, his avatar rotates with the phone!

The whimsy of this just brightens my day.

Something got me thinking about comments on my website here. Almost no one posts native replies on my posts. I’d have to think that 99.9999% of all the replies on my website are now via Webmention. Perhaps I should cut off native replies just to cut back on the amount of spam I get? Hmmm….
