Echochamber.js is a third-party script you can install to add a simple comment form to your blog post or website. why not just use disqus? Because then there'd be a chance that someone would read the comments. You might have to read those comments. You don't want that. When a user submits a comment, echochamber.js will save the comment to the user's LocalStorage, so when they return to the page, they can be confident that their voice is being heard, and feel engaged with your very engaging content. It does not make any HTTP requests. Since LocalStorage is only local, you and your database need not be burdened with other people's opinions.

  • Looking for a Replacement for the Eye-Fi Card

Earlier this week, Eye-fi announced they are discontinuing the online services for the "Pro" cards in favor of the new cloud-connected "Mobi" ones. Since my primary use of the Eye-fi card is to upload my photos to Flickr, I have no interest in paying for their cloud service. Time to look for another card! Most of the other wifi SD cards on the market come with an iOS/Android app, and basically all they let you do is view the photos from the app if your phone is connected to the card's wifi. Then I discovered the Toshiba FlashAir card, which has a developer site and encourages people to build things on top of the card.

Seeing a lot of demand for "publish elsewhere, save on your own site" vs "publish on your own site, syndicate elsewhere". #indieweb
    Aaron Parecki
@benwerd I'm guessing because the publishing tools elsewhere are often very good. With Micropub, the publishing tools for publishing on your own site can become just as good! #indieweb
