And from a consumption perspective, every RSS feed reader I’ve used on iOS/macOS/web is still a far cry from what you get at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Once we make consumption easy, the creators will move. And RSS could continue powering the open web.

Totally agreee! We've been working on stuff like this in the #indieweb community for a while! It's getting there, still a long ways to go, but here's my current reading experience using Open Web technologies: https://aaronparecki.com/2018/04/20/46/indieweb-reader-my-new-home-on-the-internet

@aaronpk Hey, sorry, me again. I just can't figure this out and hope you can help. I'm trying to use OwnYourGram with my site (Jekyll + Github pages + Micropub endpoint). But the post gets pulled in like this, so it doesn't show the photo. Are you aware of anyone who got this to work? It needs to add a reference to the photo in the post itself.

I'm not familiar enough with Jekyll to know what's going on. You might try asking someone in the #indieweb-dev channel in chat! https://indieweb.org/discuss

Been hacking away on a new IndieWeb project called Fortress! It’s meant to be a way to simplify sign-in support for IndieWeb-compatible services (think Monocle or http://indiebookclub.biz/). You can check it out at fortress.black.af. [Here’s my site’s scan](https://fortress.black.af/demo?url=https%3A%2F%2Fjacky.wtf%2F]. I expose a lot of info!

Made some significant progress today on an approximately 2,800 word feature article on the W3C Micropub spec with some motivation, examples, use cases, etc. Needs some editing, a bit of artwork, and some screenshots, but we’re nearly there.

Have a few ideas about placement already…
