Sweet! I think we should live stream the live stream… waddaya think, @aaronpk ? Set up a few @mevocamera on auto-director and let ‘em show what we do?
    Aaron Parecki
I was considering that! I don't have room for my Mevos but if you can bring some.... !

Who’s going to #ResolveCon this weekend — in person or online? I’m running the live stream along with @aaronpk — watch @casey_faris @MrAlexTech and many more! Some of my packing… http://ResolveCon.com

Sure you don't want me to bring another ATEM?

i also dont find non-federated indieweb to be satisfactory for a whole variety of reasons too
    Aaron Parecki
yeah it depends on the overall goal really. Scuttlebutt has done some interesting things with a non-federated and offline-first approach to decentralized comms https://scuttlebutt.nz

i literally didnt list specific problems of the fediverse and never claimed to

i have in the past but not in this thread
    Aaron Parecki
    i meant general problems, sorry

i dont know what you mean
    Aaron Parecki
maybe I misinterpreted the specific problems with the fediverse that you're referring to then.

I'm trying to find a good reference, this one talks about some of the problems, which Mastodon has for the same reasons: http://natdudley.com/blog/twitter-ux-and-bullying/

sure i mean everything i said above also applies to direct site-to-site engagement too. i wrote a thread about p2p and cryptography, and somehow this is turning into a debate about indieweb because of some random asshole
    Aaron Parecki
i mean doesn't that kind of exactly demonstrate your earlier point about the twitter/mastodon interaction model 😂

i am, yes, because its the only relevant aspect of indieweb in the context of the thread that i wrote, as far as i can tell
    Aaron Parecki
the original mention of indieweb was sufficiently vague that I don't blame you for conflating it with mastodon, but there's a lot more to draw inspiration from than just what mastodon did. for example, i'm not even writing this on twitter, i'm writing it on my own website.

and indieweb has always been hyper concentrated. its kind of unfortunate that it went the route it did, tbh. they couldve done something really interesting but instead its just... twitter plus inter-server distribution :\
    Aaron Parecki
you're talking about Mastodon/fediverse specifically, right? because indieweb encompasses a lot more than just that model

This is really well done! All the parts fit perfectly, and the drone even fits with my velcro on the top for the little strobe light. I'm actually using the bottom chamber for the strobe since I don't use the DJI charger brick at all.

My only complaint is I wish the outer shell were a bit thicker all the way around. It's super thin where the extra chamber is (under 1mm), and flexes when I touch it. The side wall next to the controller is a bit thicker (1.6mm) but also flexes. I would have loved for it to be more like 3.6mm all the way around. I might try that myself, but at nearly 24h print time it's not something I'm eager to print again!

Surely you mean it was a good *idea*

Because, I had one and it sucked real real bad
    Aaron Parecki
I remember some of the features not working great, especially connecting it to a phone, but I had mine set up to auto-upload my photos to Flickr when I got on my home wifi, and it worked flawlessly for that!

I have wondered the exact same thing(s) many times. It's weird... Some of us still use DSLR cameras for good stuff.
    Aaron Parecki
okay it turns out Canon actually has this feature https://image.canon but it works by pairing with your smart phone. Which I guess makes sense.
