Omg I was seriously just wondering about this. I life in fear that flickr will die and my entire @BikePortland archive will be lost. 😯
    Aaron Parecki
Yeah totally. And i've been paying for Flickr Pro the last few years pretty much exclusively so that I can at some point get to the full archive of original photos too. So I decided that time has finally come.

What do professional photographers use? I swore I read about some auto-upload mechanisms for photojournalism, commercial parks, and events. Maybe we need the consumer version?
    Aaron Parecki
Good question, I know I've heard of that too!

There needs to be a bot you can tag, like @StabilizePlease. Oh, and can you #StabilizePlease this one? https://twitter.com/nextspaceflight/status/1574540128734695425 cc @aaronpk @nextspaceflight
    Aaron Parecki
I don't know why Resolve is having such trouble with this. It's a little better with stabilization but not locked in like you'd expect it to be able to do with a relatively simple clip like this

iOS. And that’s theoretically true, but how far do you trust Facebook?
    Aaron Parecki
It's more that I trust Apple to not provide the ability for apps to use the microphone without the user's permission. That's especially true when the phone is off and the app is in the background, there's just no way for the app to use the mic.

Sure, but I’ll be sure to pick a topic not discussed in this thread. There’s plenty of stuff to buy 😊
    Aaron Parecki
out of curiosity, does she have an Android or iPhone? There's no way an iOS app can use the microphone without the little orange dot appearing.

We will test again tonight. Pick another topic that we‘ve never discussed, searched for, considered buying. I’ll report back

Her privacy settings DO give Instagram mic access, phone was LOCKED. My phone, also present, is NOT delivering similar ads.
    Aaron Parecki
The problem with this test is any replies on Twitter might also feed the targeted ad machine.

a toxic trait of mine is that i blank for the first reading of a phonetree and have to hit the “repeat that again” option or even worse, dial back to actually hear it.
    Aaron Parecki

What I really want is a hedgehog and maybe a capybara, honestly.

I don't think the computers are good enough to do capybaras yet 🙃

Captcha have been used to create trainings data for a long time. This could be an attempt to map the latent space of a model to human labels. Could be used to improve DALL-E or stable diffusion

I’m being canceled for this take in the replies. Amazing.

You can already disable the thing (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202743), I just wanted it to have a different sound?
    Aaron Parecki
I don't understand why people are so upset about a criticism of the usability and accessibility of the feature?

I might get crucified for saying so, but not really at all? Unless you specifically read every word in the prompt, which very few people would.

4 hours later AOD is at 99% the rest is still at 100%

By the way I deliberately placed AOD right under the light to keep it on at max AOD brightness.

At this point I feel like I can say it drains ~1% battery max in 4 hours.

Is that Tornado Cash? (Honestly I don’t know what their logo looks like, but it could be?)
    Aaron Parecki
I don't know what Tornado Cash is but it sounds like some blkchain bs?

This is Dark Sky, Apple acquired them a while ago and finally built all the features natively into iOS 16

    • PKCE
    • Issuer Identifier
    • Pushed Authorization Requests
    • MTLS + Private Key JWT
    • DPoP
    • Non-Repudiation
