My fav iOS 10 feature is the phone integration for apps. Finally my Google Voice number won't feel like a second class citizen!

Sigh autocorrect... Plz don't correct "chatting" to "hating." It completely changes the meaning of my sentence.

Having second thoughts about saving screenshots of all my bookmarks. The first one I tested turned into a 27mb jpg. We'll see how this goes. #indieweb

This is perhaps the first step in the fall of certificate authorities in favor of p2p root CA trust sharing. https://twitter.com/FiloSottile/status/735940720931012608

My 6th @Jawbone UP appears to be on its last legs. Pretty sure it's <1yr old too. Time to switch to FitBit?

Oh jeez, this is going to be a mess. They made everyone with a rolly bag get a gate check tag, but then forgot to put a gate check agent outside the plane, so everyone is getting on the tiny plane with huge bags.

Just learned a new German word when a woman walked up to my table at the crowded hotel cafe and asked "Darf ich das mal klauen?" while pointing to the table setting next to me. Context is everything.

@DrifttHQ Any chance you can add support for uploading via Micropub, or even just via HTTP? https://www.w3.org/TR/micropub/

    Notes from livestreaming IndieWebCamp Germany:

    • the backpack full of equipment is heavy, it would be great to figure out how to lighten it
    • need a longer microphone cable to get the boundary mic to reach farther
    • switching rooms meant that the HDMI splitter for the computer needed a longer cable the second day, so I need either more cables or ideally have the host provide at least one long HDMI cable for each location
    • having the computer running OBS for the streaming was useful since I was able to overlay session titles quickly as well as blank the stream with the IWC logo while fiddling with the switcher output
    • the IRC log overlay didn't come in handy as much as I thought it would, tho it was glitchy the first day and might have been more useful then if it had worked properly
    • I should ask the host to provide power extension cables rather than trying to bring those
    • having a longer HDMI cord that goes to the projector/TV means I can be more flexible in positioning the booth, since that was the limiting factor this time
    • two cameras was enough, not sure what I would do with a third for this kind of event

@ysaw Did you ever end up writing up how you made the justified photo view on Flickr? I found your comment on http://www.wackylabs.net/2012/03/flickr-justified-layout-in-jquery/

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
