This is the consumer equivalent of charging companies for SSO.

V1 of a little montage of @snappixy orbits I took in interesting places in the last few months.
To preserve your innocence, no swimwear shot was included in the collection 😛

@aaronpk I need your videographer expertise to learn how to align shots in post prod!

I had the same initial “I can’t believe they are going to charge to be secure” knee jerk reaction as most of Twitter is having, but once you stop to think about what they are doing it’s ironically a better precedent to start pushing!
    Aaron Parecki
Exactly haha! SMS costs money to send those codes, and is less secure, so let's push people away from it!

A great subheading, courtesy of the Wayback Machine:

Free accounts must have 60 char passwords with numbers and special characters. You may use dictionary words for $1/word, at $10+ you may pay to reduce the length at 10¢/char. Or, for $100/month Verified Gold, your password is “password”.

“This security method isn’t very good, so it’s only available to our paid subscribers” is actually very funny.

Got the #pk1stand from @aaronpk_tv put together and looking good.  Definitely looks a lot cooler than just having the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO just sitting on the table.
Shoutout to @inux_3d for much fast shipping than I expected ✊🏾.

I'm a big fan of using more secure two-factor authentication methods like a security key or TouchID, but I will admit I never expected charging people to use SMS would be a viable strategy to get them off it 😅 https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/product/2023/an-update-on-two-factor-authentication-using-sms-on-twitter

Never have I ever been asked by a website to *remove* two-factor authentication. Which idiot came up with this idea? Oh wait, I think I know...

And it's official: Twitter users can now choose to be less secure — to use text messages for 2FA rather than an app — but only if they pay the monthly fee. You pay for insecurity. The weirdest security decision I've ever seen from a major tech company.
