I designed the GoPro Metadata Format (GPMF) that stores GPS and IMU data. The GPS part delivers 18Hz data in GoPro HERO5 Black.

Telemetry is written into the MP4 as a track, just like video and audio are tracks. Tools and third support is coming.

@david_newman Any update on tools to extract the GPMF data stream? I want to get my hands on the raw data!
