@aaronpk Hi πŸ™‚ Sorry if I've just missed that information but is there a process to add a #webmentions server implementation to the listing on https://webmention.net/implementations/? I'm asking because of https://github.com/zerok/webmentiond 😊

    Aaron Parecki
Awesome! Start by making sure it passes all the tests at https://webmention.rocks and then send a PR here: https://github.com/w3c/webmention/tree/master/implementation-reports

I was thinking something more like filming the entire setup sequence, capturing the thought process. Then again I’d probably hate having to explain myself to someone holding a camera πŸ˜‚
    Aaron Parecki
Kinda like your studio buildout video I guess? I still say go for it on the main channel! I have a feeling people will eat it up!

TFW you want to check the docs to make sure you understand something properly but the reason you need to understand it is because you are writing the docs and there are no other docs. https://rhiaro.co.uk/2020/04/tfw-docs

one day I’d love my channel to be big enough to start a second channel that is entirely BTS / making-of my videos. I think it’d be almost as interesting as the videos themselves, just to see what goes into these. Would of course require a dedicated shooter/editor. One dayβ€¦πŸ€”
    Aaron Parecki
I mean that'd be cool too but that sounds like a lot of work πŸ˜‚ For now, the short BTS easter egg at the end is a great hook to get ppl to watch all the way through!

@aaronpk searching "oauth server implementation" yields 0 useful-looking results for me on both google and youtube. This might be a first on basically any topic. Are you aware of any instructional examples?
    Aaron Parecki
Good keyword tips, I'll work on improving the search results for that. Here's a list of OAuth server implementations: https://oauth.net/code/ and my entire book here talks about building one from scratch https://www.oauth.com

I learned today that my child can add numbers up to 10... as long as you phrase it in terms of cookies. "If you have 2 cookies and I give you 4 more, how many cookies do you have?" Subtraction does not work because he gets mad about losing cookies.

fyi if you want really nicely caramelized roast veg, preheating your pan and cooking them at a high heat (450-500 F) makes a big difference in whether they come out roasted or steamed. Also pat them dry with a towel before roasting.

My "rubber ducking" is the one where I type in a public slack channel my problem and I'm about to beg for help. Then I think "let me try one more thing before I embarrass myself" and then that thing works and fixes my problem. Anyway, I finally fixed a bunch of things on my blog

Maybe I should give up on the idea that I'm productive today and do a bunch of meal prep to support me on future days this week where hopefully I *am* productive. My future self would thank me for not having to be distracted by cooking...
