Today was a lot... shades got installed, dumbwaiter guy was here and almost finished, electrician was here running wires for the water heater, hopefully we'll be over the drama this week

The last of the back wall is getting done the slow way, hand-mixing concrete. The conduits are not going anywhere now.

Turns out these tankless water heaters are just not up to the task. We failed the plumbing inspection today because they can't supply hot water to all the fixtures at the same time. More details on that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0KnENLf-AQ

Finally got around to tucking the exterior Ethernet runs into a box so there aren't random wires dangling from the side of the house anymore. In hindsight I would have placed these slightly better and put them inside a box in the wall, so this will do instead.

They finally installed the good door to the rooftop patio! Mačka had to immediately check out the new view of where she is not allowed to go.

It was bothering me that I messed up the alignment of the compost bin on the cabinet door so I fixed it. There was exactly enough free space between the bin and hinge to move it so it exactly clears the other door.

I think I finally figured out what I want to do for door locks. These Level deadbolts are super cool, the battery goes inside the deadbolt.

Since I don't have a concrete plan for these network wires yet, I added a large box and coiled them up inside.

Fire sprinkler guys were here today installing the cell connection for the alarm system

Picture rail everywhere means not having to poke holes in the walls to hang art! I added this slim metal rail to places I didn't think to ask them to put the wood rail before.

With the conduit run, I am finally able to get network out to the mailbox shed! I did all the terminations and added one extra CAT6 run while the ground is still open.

Seems like no matter how much I thought I had planned, there's always somewhere else I actually want a USB outlet somewhere else. Thankfully it's not too hard to swap them out. They also make these with 60W PD now

The cool thing about Lutron Pico remotes is you can add a switch anywhere, including "impossible" places like the side of this wood railing

Can't believe we already found somewhere we should have added an outlet. So instead I drilled through the cabinets to run an extension cord from the one outlet we *did* put inside the cabinets, and now there's power for the shredder.

ok, got the TV box mounted behind the TV, it only sticks out like 3 inches and still looks pretty good on the wall with no cables visible
