That snow monster used to scare the crap out of me as a kid.

Imagine going back in time one year and showing people this picture of a stadium full of cardboard fans and a sky of orange.

The year is 2020. Ash has blocked out the sun. My friends are evacuating out of fire zones. Pants are a distant memory. A podcaster asks me over Zoom, “So what’s it like to be a woman in tech?”

I saw someone on here say they lived through a wildfire and now their signal for leaving is when birds start falling out of the sky dead, and instead of thinking "my god, this is horrific" I thought "dead birds, good, I'll check for that"

If the entire East Coast looked like Mordor outside and it smelled like a barbecue every time you left your house we would not stop hearing the end of it. I don’t know if people not on the West Coast understand how bad it is
