It’s more or less plug and play if you’re using esphome! Power, ground, TX/RX pins, not much to it!

Do you have photos of the ESP8266 + PMS5003 setup? I've been looking into putting an air quality sensor together myself.

@aaronpk What do you use for inside quality readings? I’ve seen a few reports from indoors. I have to assume the quality inside my house is no better than others, but I’d like to know for sure. (I am running the fan of my furnace which is equipped with an American Standard Accuclean integrates electrostatic filter. M)

Yikes! Is airnow.gov an accurate indicator of air quality? If so, ours is pretty good!

Also for your AC filter, you can buy ones that are designed for really bad air. Probably will help.

Yikes. Seems like you've found a project at least. How you holding up otherwise?

Uh, not super sealed. 172 AQI is still utter shite. You need a filter, man.

I need filters at all! Just running the AC right now, but the exterior windows are super sealed and the apartment hallway air is filtered

That’s cool. And you need better filters. How are you scrubbing internal air? Now I’m really curious what the AQI is in my house and studio!!
