@photojoseph @aaronpk I am a novice to these techs. Any idea why do I get this greenish screen with my new (inexpensive) camcorder connected to ATEM Mini?

I've seen a similar problem outputting from HDMI devices into certain monitors. Turns out HDMI has two different color modes, RGB and YUV, and some devices only support one or the other. If the camera has a setting for that, it might fix it, but I'm betting it does not.

Welp, Google did something to their SMTP servers today and my ability to send email from my Google account just stopped working. App-specific passwords aren't working anymore. Guess I am just going to quit email.

My dad is an ICU doctor treating COVID-19 patients. In the past WEEK he has set more “I’ve never seen a heart rate/RBC count/etc. like this” records than in his decades-long career. What this virus does to the body is like “sticking your finger in an electric socket.” Stay home.

I’m sensing a lack of understanding on how to color grade now days with LUTs being all the rage. Learning to color grade is so important!

If you’re starting out... I wanna encourage you to watch tutorials and learn how to use the built in tools in your NLE to color correct.

BoardGameGeek has a pretty comprehensive Distance Gaming guide, that includes physical games played over videoconferencing. It also lists free websites with online adaptations of games. http://Boardgamearena.com is my favorite of them. https://boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Distance_Gaming_Guide#toc5

Does anyone have a list of card games where the mechanics allow it to be played remotely? Not online games tho, games that use real physical cards, where it doesn't matter that the players will be drawing from separate decks.

We had to remove this sort of token for a messaging app. People kept using it in production apps, and distributing it. Oh, hey, I can impersonate you through the api now!

When you compose the thumbnail but forget you set your camera to 4:3 for some family pictures...and you remember right when you sit down and import everything into photoshop. 😭

I think that's distant enough, lots of photography answers in this thread. So you'd make the gear or use it?
    Aaron Parecki
I've been making videos about how to use different kinds of cameras and streaming gear. It's a nice break from the tech world even if there's still some tech aspect to it.
