"All non-IAM projects are frozen. We're doubling down on identity." @pingidentity customer. We've been saying identity was mission critical for years, but would one truly know until COVID-19?

I think the Engadget article solves the mystery, though; google is doing a staggered rollout of the feature, so some people have it and others don’t.

Oh snap! Downloading now. Annoyingly iOS shows (and still does) no updates needed for any app but as soon as I looked up Gmail, it needed and update. Hmmm
    Aaron Parecki
That literally just happened to me too! I thought my apps were set to auto update. Went into the App Store and searched gmail, no update found, waited a few seconds and was able to download the update.

I worry a lot that my intense comfort level with “normal computers” will become a crutch as I get older and prevent me from fully embracing the new paradigm. But also I have to get work done…

BTW the instructions on https://indieweb.org/Getting_Started_on_WordPress tell me to use https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin that I don't think is correct, is it?
    Aaron Parecki
ah thanks no that's wrong! Well it looks like everything is fine on your side, there's just some bug with the wiki.

started from https://indielogin.com/auth?client_id=https%3A%2F%2Findieweb.org%2F&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fsso.indieweb.org%2Fauth&response_type=code&state=XX then went to my website for auth and once accepted, I got redirected to that page ...
    Aaron Parecki
That's super strange, that's a bug with the wiki plugin. Can you try just logging in at https://indielogin.com

Playing around with @indiewebcamp and @wordpress, first steps. IndieAuth is enabled on http://maffulli.net but can't test it fully on wiki: `Logging in is not possible when using MediaWiki\Extensions\Auth_remoteuser\AuthRemoteuserSessionProvider sessions.`
    Aaron Parecki
hmm how'd you end up there? Try clicking the login link from the IndieWeb.org home page, you shouldn't ever se me a login form from mediawiki.

weird, here’s what’s on mine - i’m referring to the folder.
    Aaron Parecki
Okay yeah that's weird, that section on mine is "recent attachments" and doesn't have that folder icon!

iOS needs to fix two problems with files: 1. A better files app (easy) 2. Get all apps to support saving to/opening from it (very hard) It's no good having a better files app if Instagram doesn't expose it

    Aaron Parecki
I mean it's google not playing by apple's rules so I'm not really sure who's more at fault here

Totally agree about the iPad in general, but I’m pretty sure that specific case is handled in the gmail app - tap the paperclip, then the folder icon under attachments
    Aaron Parecki
This is what I see. Also the amount of time it took to pixelate this screenshot was obscene, it would have taken a few seconds on a computer. I had to download a dedicated app for this, even Photoshop and Lightroom on iOS don’t have this filter.

So much bullshit to compensate for not exposing a normal filesystem. iPads are not laptops.
    Aaron Parecki
The irony is I actually vastly prefer editing photos in Lightroom on the iPad compared to a computer now.

I want the iPad Pro to replace a computer so bad, but I just signed a PDF in Gmail, Gmail needed to save the file to Files, but can’t attach files *from* Files, so I had to download Google Drive and export the file from Files to Google Drive so Gmail can find it. 🤦‍♂️
    Aaron Parecki
and after all that, Gmail sent a Google Drive link in the email instead of actually attaching the file. Thanks.
