There's nothing new under the Sun, we used to use IRC this way pre-Twitter back in the mid-00's at #OSCON, http://www.theverge.com/2015/9/18/9349425/slack-future-of-conferences-xoxo-festival.
    Aaron Parecki
@aallan Yep, Slack just took IRC-style interaction and made it more accessible to people. Nothing wrong with that, and still notable IMO!

Made a batch of "Sorta Secret Aardvark Sauce" from http://forums.egullet.org/topic/128657-sorta-secret-aardvark-sauce-habenero-hot-sauce/ last week, it came out pretty good! Not quite the same as Secret Aardvark sauce but still tasty. I ended up using only half the amount of rice vinegar, and it definitely did not come out too thick.

Next time, I want to try it without the curry powder since I think that's what's contributing most to the difference in taste. I also want to add a little citric acid and xanthan gum.

@aaronpk what would you think of an app that does specifically what your slack hack did?
    Aaron Parecki
@joshmarinacci Probably would be useful for other conferences! The trick is getting the list of conference attendees.

@mattg yeah.... I can't tell if it's an attempt to make it more "mainstream/danceable" or just complete ignorance.

It always annoys me when I hear a cover of "Take Five" that's in 4/4 time. I mean come on, that was the whole point.
