Hi @aaronpk! You mentioned an app for the iPad that controls your ATEM mini over Wifi, can you share the link to the app?
    Aaron Parecki
    It's called Strata Macros! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/strata-macros/id1297520841

I've been using Windows primarily for my video editing for a few weeks now. The ONLY major complaint that I can't figure out a work around for is you cannot set screenshot to autosave.

You HAVE to take the screen shot, then click on the preview, then click on save and save.
    Aaron Parecki
omg this was also my biggest frustration! It's not a lot, but that extra time does add up trying to add screenshots into a video!

I've understood that you have to have the Skype watermark on when using NDI, but I can't find any documentation to back that up, other than a Skype TX document (which this isn't; it's "Skype for Creators"). You can't turn it off but it's easily cropped. Is it REQUIRED to have on?
    Aaron Parecki
as far as I can tell it's also governed by their "Broadcast Terms of Service" here https://www.skype.com/en/legal/broadcast/

"any use of Skype software in a Program (as defined below) for Broadcast (as defined below) shall be subject to these Broadcast TOS"

@aaronpk @vibronet @zenithar @FiloSottile @bcrypt @evacide @brandur I've been thinking recently that I need to up my password game, but there are so many conflicting suggestions out there. What password management strategies do you all use/recommend?
    Aaron Parecki
I'm a fan of @1password, been using it for a few years now. Unique random passwords for each service. The only thing on my wishlist is that 1Password could generate passwords with words that also include caps and numbers cause some sites still have these requirements.

I see a lot of open source software projects that do not do a good job of describing themselves.

It's okay. There's nothing shameful about that.

    Most programmers aren't writers.

Just like most writers aren't programmers.

I can't code to save my life, but I can write some killer copy and content.

Know of any open source projects that need copy written?

    I want to contribute.

    Aaron Parecki
    I 100% agree!

I would love some help with some copy to finally launch some content at https://meetable.org!

@aaronpk I'm working my way through your Atem Mini videos and I'm wondering have you covered a workflow that would allow for replays? I'm using the AMP for live streaming local sports and it would be great to be able to add replays
    Aaron Parecki
I haven't talked about it much since I usually don't have a need for that, but if I did mention it at all it would be in the Hyperdeck livestream!

Ok I seriously want to buy a house with a detached garage and turn it into a YouTube studio.

Any good content out there where people do this?
    Aaron Parecki
I just did this but haven’t edited the video together yet ☺️☺️

    HTTP spec hot take:

.well-known is like favicon.ico but moreso

Use link-based discovery, not hardcoded paths, jeeze
    Aaron Parecki
Ironically, favicons ended up going the link rel discovery path later too! even one of the first uses of hardcoded paths realized it was a bad idea.

I'd love UI ideas if ya got 'em.

    Aaron Parecki
Once I upload photos, there's a text box next to each photo. I can type in emoji that I want to use for that photo. If I type an emoji that's associated with another image it removes it from the other image. It's surprisingly quick to set up this way!

If there's more than one emoji in the post, do you use the first/last one, or do you have a better process?

    Aaron Parecki
I don't have photos for every emoji so it uses the first match.

Side note, I am pretty proud of the interface I made to set up the mapping between photos and emoji!

Anyone have recommendations for a TV where it's relatively easy to physically disable the wifi (and where doing so won't degrade the user experience for a normal user who doesn't care about the "smart" features)?

We need a new TV and apparently you can't just get normal TVs anymore.

    Aaron Parecki
Look for "commercial displays" instead. There are some without WiFi still. I'm holding on to mine as long as I possibly can.

But I think in the current era there is a limited window for a few people to figure it out and get traction and the financial support and building platforms at scale is becoming more accessible...

It’s a matter of time and timing...

YT creator friends. I know this is Google-able, but is there a way to set up a private stream. I am running a test, want to see how well it pans out, but don't want to test live...yet.

I'm aware of how to connect YT to my system/OBS, but I ....well, anyway, what I said above 😂
    Aaron Parecki
yeah for sure! If you're in the youtube studio you can choose the visibility of the stream, just like choosing it for a video, then it'll give you a stream key for that.
