To be fair, this is not a "normal" plug in the US. This is rated for 240v 50a, our normal plugs are 120v 15a. This one is meant for hooking up an RV or boat to a generator. What would an equivalent look like in Germany? -

My electrician explained how the other end is connected... the white wire is actually the second phase hot wire, and the green wire is tied to both ground and neutral at the pole.
and we're live! Feeding the generator inlet with a 30 amp extension cord that runs to the temp pole at the street!

Hooking up a 3-wire extension cord to a 4-wire plug, what could go wrong 😃

@aaronpk Is it possible to set up a delayed voice message? It could be fun to call a number, leave a voicemail, and then some time in the future receive a call playing that voicemail.
Ooh good one! I could hook up a motion sensor so that the phone rings when people walk by it on the sidewalk
