I woke up this morning to learn that the Today Show aired my Maskalike face masks (without a heads up). Then NBC news. Then it spread through the internet for the 4th time. I got several emails per minute. Now I have >25,100 people on the waitlist and 1,225 unanswered emails.🤯 https://twitter.com/djbaskin/status/1271590209151352833

I was aware of the zero-day. Thought that the “showstopper bug” you alluded to was a second, new security issue.

    Thanks for the clarification.
    Aaron Parecki
Still bad, but not on the security side this time. Just a blocker for us to deploy a new feature.

No security flaw in this latest bug I filed, but you might be thinking of this:

The fragility of folks who won’t wear a mask is truly breathtaking. I lived for four years inside two internment camps, and I heard less bitching and whining there than I do today.

    @aaronpk

    Hm,
I would go for a larger font size then.
Before your posts had about 80 characters per line which is still fine but 110 feels too wide for me …

    Aaron Parecki
Yeah I was thinking about that, kinda forgot about it cause the current width isn't too bad but I'll probably bump it a little. I don't want to make it responsive sizing so I need to pick something that also isn't too big on a small screen.

I had a great time in the sessions at IndieWebCamp West yesterday! Today is project day, so I started the morning off listening to some chill tunes with other folks on the Zoom "hallway track" deciding what to work on.

Remember in grade school when the teacher stopped class & would keep adding time on until the asshole kids stopped talking?

Except the teacher is coronavirus & the kids who won’t shut up are now the adults not taking proper precautions, forcing everyone else to lock down longer.

You know how people say "my back hurts" and you think that'll never happen to you. Mm hmm. I'm them now.

One of the last times I packed a bag before ~this whole thing~ I threw my back out by literally putting a sock into my suitcase and I had to cancel that whole trip

"Hey you're getting views so why should it matter?"
I could make an entire thread on why this is so odd and messed up but my thoughts aren't straight right now.
It's like no rules apply when YouTube just gets their ad money.

wait what...this seems bad. Is this intentional?? @YouTube @ytcreators

The mask debate, like virtually every other major conflict in American politics, can be boiled down to "I don't know how to convince you to care about other people."

I’m beginning to think “hindsight is 2020” was some kind of message from a future time traveler that we all misunderstood.
