Is there a way to make FaceTime NOT ring on a Mac, but still have it logged in so I can place outgoing calls on it?
Phone calls too plz. When I get a call now, no less than five devices around me light up and make noises. -

Make a whole bunch of videos and hone your workflow into a knife edge.
I donāt do fancy edits, and I have everything set up and ready to go so just a flick of a couple switches and Iām good to go.
Iām about 75% of the way to having a permanent recording setup in place, itās already saved me time even tho itās not perfect.
I still struggle with how scripted the dialogue should be. The less scripted the more editing. The more scripted, the worse the final result. -

also what voodoo do you use that allows you to start filming a video the night before itāll be released?? you must really have your post-production workflow down!
I tend to spend 3x more time editing than filming. -

Dang I get both my new lens and new microphone tomorrow.

@photojoseph @aaronpk I am a novice to these techs. Any idea why do I get this greenish screen with my new (inexpensive) camcorder connected to ATEM Mini?
I've seen a similar problem outputting from HDMI devices into certain monitors. Turns out HDMI has two different color modes, RGB and YUV, and some devices only support one or the other. If the camera has a setting for that, it might fix it, but I'm betting it does not. -
Welp, Google did something to their SMTP servers today and my ability to send email from my Google account just stopped working. App-specific passwords aren't working anymore. Guess I am just going to quit email.

That thing of reading about other peoples' lockdown experiences and realising that it's not very different to my regular life, that many introverts are having lately.. but more specifically I'm discovering that meeting friends regularly in-person is a huge part of life for most people - and I guess was common for me too at one point - but that I completely went without since I started travelling and just got used to my friends and family being almost entirely online (aka in my pocket) for years now. I don't really know where I'm going with this. Just that it's interesting seeing people adjusting to it (or failing to) and I don't even remember having much of a period of adjustment, it was quite natural for me.
