@aaronpk The first one I think is alright as long as you don't talk about "work stuff."

    Aaron Parecki

    @aaronpk I think 1 and 3 are okay, 2 is questionable.

Really? Cause I explicitly ordered those based on my own ideas of least to most appropriate

I'm on vacation the next 2 weeks and trying to remember what that means.

Does that mean no talking with my friends on work slack?

No working on side projects that could be considered work if you look at it just right?

Can I still build stuff on my website? 🤔

    Help!

The magnitude of that disaster stunned us all. I’m sorry for those lost. We were all mesmerized by the drama of the Fukashima nuclear plant over the next months.

I never went to Japan. But @anomalily is there now, 8 (not 9, sorry!) years later! My kid is my hero.

I went to my office to see if my boss, who lived in Tokyo, was online. He was on Yahoo! IM. “Are you OK? Where are you?”

“I’m OK. Under my dining room table, with my sons.”

    Yikes.

Needless to say, trip cancelled. 3/4

Early that morning, @Cheryl_Crowe prodded me awake after hearing on the BBC: Big earthquake in Fukashima. “I don’t think you’re going”

Data serialization protocols that are better than SOAP:

    ▪️JSON
    ▪️CSV
    ▪️Micro Focus COBOL file format
▪️Base64-encoded lossy JPGs of photos of dot-matrix printouts
▪️A regular expression that converts Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" to the required data as tab separated values

Looking forward to my third IndieWeb Summit! It’s amazing to reflect on the improvements coming out of the IndieWeb every year. I wonder what I will hack on this time around??
