For developers setting up their first development environment on a Mac, would you go with XAMPP or MAMP? Why?

@nacin I'm with @kchrist, I just install MySQL and use the built-in Apache and PHP on OS X.

While @aaronpk and @caseorganic were showing off Geoloqi, about a block away one of my students proposed a similar yet minimalist app idea.

@maxticket Cool! Maybe it could be built with the Geoloqi API!
