    Syndicating to Mastodon

    Aaron Parecki
Have you considered making your website directly accessible from Mastodon and others? Bridgy Fed seems like it would integrate nicely with your workflow, since you've already got most of the pieces set up, and you could choose to send individual posts to your Mastodon followers with a webmention.

    https://fed.brid.gy

This way people could follow your website directly and you wouldn't need a separate account on any Mastodon server at all!

Story to be updated soon with more: Am hearing that several “critical” infra engineering teams at Twitter have completely resigned. “You cannot run Twitter without this team,” one current engineer tells me of one such group. Also, Twitter has shut off badge access to its offices.

Some teams, such as the engineering team that manages Twitter’s core system libraries, are completely gone now. https://www.theverge.com/2022/11/17/23465274/hundreds-of-twitter-employees-resign-from-elon-musk-hardcore-deadline

If your web app uses Twitter to log users in, this would be a great time to add some alternative authentication methods!

You may also want to make a plan to handle account recovery for people who have already deleted their Twitter accounts...

but yeah, this is why the most common next step after logging in is these services asking for your email so they have a recovery path
