  @aaronpk People got wise to Lyft and Uber charging more if there was less battery on the phone. So I'm guessing they want everyone to pay the expensive rate.

  Twofold: so you can say "Horrible regression model friend, book me a ride" to your horrible regression model in a speaker, and so they can report back on all the gadgets you have so they can adjust their own horrible regression models.

  I know drivers sometimes have the little appliances in their cars to light up with the passengers names, but what could this do as a passenger? When I'm in a Lyft I'm not even on wifi
