Are we being pranked? Apple’s products seem optimized for profit much more than when the original iPad was introduced for $499.

I need a social clue for in-person discussion playing the same role as unmuting oneself on Zoom.
Raising a hand is too much, and relying on people reading generic body language is hit and miss... especially in our industry πŸ˜›

I had the same thought today, waiting patiently for my spot in the queue while listening to the arguments I was going to make unfold around me. Didn't want to interrupt, but did want to add my thoughts.

This is a sickening direction a lot of tech companies are taking and is the perfect recipe for a toxic and homogeneous work environment that rejects and punishes diversity.

love that basecamp marketed itself on rejection of capitalism + "company culture" for literal decades to pivot into the purest form of capitalist, white enterprise where only your work matters, because inherently you are not a human, just means of production.

I had this same question, and my personal conclusion was that if it's a main feature of the video then yes, but if it's just on camera, then no. Sweetwater sent me the SM7B, so if I do a review on it, then I'll click the box, but if I'm just using it in a video then I won't.
