The ProGrade reader is a lot faster than the internal SD card reader by about 40% if memory serves.

Makes you wonder how they messed up the internal SD card reader so bad then!

I don’t think they did. I think it’s just newer tech in the reader; after all it’s been several years since the SD slot was included. I could be wrong though. Prograde makes reader isn’t cheap. But worth every penny (especialy the dual slot reader) if you create lots of content.

Good point, I always forget how long it's been since the SD card reader was built in, and just because clock speeds aren't much faster since then doesn't mean there weren't lots of other improvements in the tech.

Ok I'm going to try and be an adult here.

No new MacBook and no new lens today.

You might think that not buying anything is the easier option.

    You clearly don't know me.

Better than my response to the new MacBooks which was to go buy a new Razer Stealth 13 laptop and switch to Windows 🤣

I want a line of books called "$TOPIC for Smart People who are unfamiliar with this topic and can't give it the time required to master it, but still have to Get the Job Done"

Modern coffee shops, all too often, optimize for people who wish they liked coffee, but it turns out they actually just like milkshakes.

Friends who have gone to Japan recently (specifically Tokyo):

What should I know before going?

I have hotel, I'm not really leaving Tokyo proper much, what's the "existing in Japan" things I should know?

    Aaron Parecki
Get a Suica card, you can use it for everything from transit to paying for stuff in restaurants and vending machines. If you have an iPhone you can transfer the suica card into your Apple wallet and use that instead and it's magic.
