Currently planning a bike ride day trip to see the eclipse on Monday morning! Will be taking the MAX to Clackamas, biking 7 miles to Oregon City to meet up with a few others coming from other directions. From Oregon City it will be 14 miles to a riverbank where we can sit and watch from! Let me know if you're interested in joining the ride! I'm gathering times and route maps here: https://aaronparecki.com/2017/08/15/11/eclipse-day-trip

I'm also counting on most people trying to go west, since most of the stuff being talked about is getting down to Salem.

If you click through you will see that aaron has 5 planned max times and a backup plan of biking all the way. We are waking up at like 3:30am. This thing better be fucking great.

I'd be surprised if you can get your bike on the max the morning of the eclipse unless you're at the first stop? Seems like many people may have the same idea..

Sounds fab. But we are headed out to Eastern Oregon with some others for car camping. Biking is definitely the way to go though. :)

Not sure where Heidi Guenin and Ken Southerland are headed to, are you going the same way?
