Whoever thought to *finally* put the little symbols on the control/option/command keys... Thank you!! ^ ⌥ ⌘ I could never remember which was ^ and ⌥ before! #apple #keyboard #shortcut

  @tantek I think part of my confusion was coming from Windows long ago, where Command takes the place of Windows ctrl for most keyboard shortcuts. So that led me to doubt that ^ meant control on OS X because ⌘ took its place. The menu shortcut indicators sometimes have 2-3 modifiers including shift ⇧ which just adds to the confusion!

  Wow and somehow I thought ^ was ubiquitous as CTRL from what sometimes showed up on terminals (like actual hw, not the app).
