#BlackLivesMatter is defending a 75 year old white guy while the "ALL LIVES MATTER" crowd are defending the cops who shoved him down and concussed him. In case you were wondering who actually believes all lives matter and who just wants to defend police brutality.
A certain prestigious research group is getting some airtime for a claim that a sizable percentage of #BlackLivesMatter tweets are from bots. As a computational social scientist who has studied BLM tweets from #OscarGrant to #PhilandoCastile and in between, here's my take:
This is not political; it's a human rights issue. I don't care what side you vote on; oppression, thuggery, media silencing, and MURDER from the top down is unacceptable in ANY society; to happen in America is beyond despicable. Congress, where the HELL are you? #BlackLivesMatter
The system isn't "broken"; it has been intentionally evolved over hundreds of years to continue to legally oppress, harass, and kill Black Americans without consequences. All non-Black Americans have contributed to and benefited from this oppression. #BlackLivesMatter
