I'm thinking about adding some features to my site using #indieauth, what kinds of things would you like to be able to do?

    Here's some things I'm considering:

    - Subscribe to new articles being posted via webhooks
    - Comments
    - Petting Mara for being a good bean
    - Search

Latest source of outrage on the Italians in Seattle group: this appalling piece- i really want it to be satire, but it doesn’t appear so 🤦🏻‍♂️
Most of those names are absurd and caused us to recoil in horror at the thought anyone could take this seriously.

Ok this is slightly insane. OpenType (the common font format) actually supports simple scripts inside the font for complex characters and such. So a guy WROTE AN ENTIRE GAME INSIDE A FONT called Fontemon that you play by typing letters on the keyboard. https://www.coderelay.io/fontemon.html#player

If you ever wonder why security is so hard, just remember that fonts are so complicated that someone programmed an entire game into one.

Looks like the opening of a Dr Who episode. Soon you will be assimilated into the 'net and have your body upgraded by the Cybermen to fight the Daleks but then you hack your way out using a snippet of code from high school saving the world.

I'm being overly simplistic, youtube is just TV for me, I don't use it as a social network.

But even here or insta, I'm very careful with who I follow or engage with. So many liers and trolls around and the internet has given everyone a voice. Gotta be careful what you listen to
    Aaron Parecki
I think it's a lot different approaching YouTube from the point of view of someone who makes videos on YouTube. In that case the comments are one of the only ways we have to interact with the people watching our videos.

Not to sound arrogant, but when 1 people out of the >300k people who watched the video comments that, I don't think it's the video 😅 but it's always good to reflect, I agree with that.

I usually delete those, but sometimes I’ll mess with them and say something like, “congratulations, you just made everyone skip the first 2 steps because you weren’t paying attention and thought you were being clever.”

After 11 years and over 2,000 students, today is my last day as a teacher. Very bittersweet, but I’m incredibly excited and grateful to have the opportunity to focus on YouTube full time.

Never in a million years did I think that’d be possible 🤯

TMW you are googling something and the first result turns out to be an excerpt from one of your own books, but it takes a while to realize it because the look and feel of the page is totally unfamiliar :P
