After threatening to do it for years, my dad made a Facebook account yesterday, read like 6 posts, turned to sister and said "This is just the same garbage as the TV but I have to remember a password to hear it" and deleted his account & I think I want to be him when I grow up

I’m the 1st to admit that some of the the Covid creds proposals going around are overengineered, but a QR of a base64 encoded snippet seems to go too far in the opposite direction😛
