I always power it off when not in use. I have a dedicated power bar that it's going into.

Why they didn't build a power switch in...?
    Aaron Parecki
I do think it was a mistake to not include a power button, likely because this is the first prosumer device they’ve made. All their other stuff is for commercial and broadcast use where the expectation is it’s on 24/7

Audio is via Rode Procaster into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 that does DIRECTLY into the MacBook Pro.

Audio does not go into the Atem Mini.

I can't power the Focusrite 2i2 without it being plugged directly into the MacBook Pro.

    Tried that today ⤵️

aha, I would’t trust the computer to be able to bring the two in sync, it’ll be more reliable to run the audio into the ATEM, then you ensure the audio and video are in sync before they reach the computer. (In case it’s not clear, I don’t trust computers for anything realtime)

    Appreciate the reply, Aaron.

    - The USB-C cable I'm using is about a 1.5 ft and also a fast USB-C cable.
    - I'm using a 2017 MacBook Pro w/ 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 and 16GB of RAM.
    - I still need to test with OBS virtual cam and see if I can adjust within there.
    Aaron Parecki
I should also ask, is your audio coming from the camera or from the 1/8” jack on the ATEM? The camera’s HDMI feed will always be delayed, and you can tweak up to 8 frames of delay in the ATEM itself to compensate.

Perfect, quad core should have no problem, tho I don’t have that MacBook myself. Try power cycling the ATEM and if it’s out of sync immediately it’s probably a bad unit. Sometimes after it’s been on for a few days that problem can show up and rebooting fixes it.

I wonder if @aaronpk would know what’s up
    Aaron Parecki
I’m assuming this is about audio being out of sync on the USB webcam output of the ATEM? My troubleshooting tips:

    • Use a short USB-C cord direct from the ATEM to the computer
    • Some slower CPUs just don’t work well
    • Contact blackmagic support if all else fails

Yeah there is about a 1 sec delay in the feed going into obs.. hopefully by networking everything I can still get multi view along with everything else. BTW thank you for all you do by sharing your knowledge of Blackmagic products. You are the best bro
    Aaron Parecki
oh right I misspoke, multiview out of the ATEM is available, the only downside with this is the delay from the bridge. Crossing my fingers for a new ATEM Mini on Wednesday with two USB ports to solve this tho!

The Atem mini Iso usb out with my sandisk 1TB SSD. The key is connecting the Ethernet cord from the Atem mini to the Ethernet port of the bridge and going hdmi out on the bridge to a capture card to PC. You have go "on air" on the Atem mini. Now you are recording and feeding obs
    Aaron Parecki
oh sure, that works. It's always a tradeoff of something though. You lose the multiview in that setup, and OBS is delayed by the streaming bridge delay. Should work fine going over the LAN instead of a direct ethernet connection too.

    Aaron Parecki
Excellent! What'd you end up using to record the stream then?

Get your support team on the same page as your marketing agencies.

They should have also sent this to me since I get a dozen messages a week from artists' PR agencies asking to be added to my playlist 😅
