It's pretty amazing being able to go from an idea in your head to a finished product in just a day.

I've been spending some time learning 3D modeling and 3D printing and designed this modular stackable rack for these #BlackmagicDesign converter boxes.

I've really been enjoying using the 3D modeling software on my iPad to take advantage of the finger gestures for navigation and the Apple Pencil for the actual modeling. It's worked surprisingly better than I was expecting it to, probably because the last time I used any 3D modeling software was like 20 years ago.

Each shelf in the rack is its own piece, so you can stack as many as you want. The top shelf is a special print for the top cover to fit into. The base is slanted 9 degrees so that when this is set on top of my device in the rack mount the stack stands up straight.

So, no Facebook is not "just another company" like the other tech giants. The ethical distinction is one in kind, not degree. Its business model is corrupt to the core. It is the Big Tobacco of the information age. (13/)

Y2K was 21 years ago. Looking back, I think the only thing we learned is that if a bunch people work really hard to stop a problem from happening, lots of other people will assume it was never really a problem.
