My bi-weekly post that Skype updated automatically and broke our system.

Tomorrow is our last Skype show (we’re moving to Zoom).

Makes me so happy to finally get to uninstall this complete piece of crap.

Good news, you won’t have to listen to me complain about Skype anymore.

People always shocked when I order a hot black coffee when it’s hot summer outside. Can’t do iced coffee. Hot always.
    Aaron Parecki
Hot always! The trick is to heat up your insides enough so that the outside air feels cool again.

I agree with that description of what happened. That said, I think the core problem today is that RSS/Atom alone is no longer enough for us. We want to read, like, and comment without bouncing from site to site. The indieweb community uses webmentions and webactions for this.

This morning I made the top 25 leaders at @okta sit through an hour-long usability test of an areas of our products that have poor usability. Painful but the first step to fixing a problem is to recognize you have it.

I just walked away from a big contract. Another brand wanting the right to takedown a video at any time in the future, for any reason. They said “many other influencers don’t mind” - who’s out here not reading their contracts and giving up this kind of power over your stuff? 👀

Just tried browsing Apple's website for the iPhone SE and it was borderline unusable. And I'm using Safari on a recent MacBook Pro. Tesla's website is no better. Scrolljacking is the new Flash and I want it to die.

Now that I'm not using a laptop and dont have dual screens, I'm thinking about moving from my 27 inch monitor to an ultra wide.

    Anyone have any suggestions?
    Aaron Parecki
I love my LG 34" ultrawide (not curved)! https://geni.us/spdWSA2 It fits a very wide Resolve timeline nicely!

Highly recommend purchasing this surprisingly big little book. Really nice summaries for each RFC. Now @aaronpk where can I buy a holographic sticker in the U.K. to turn this into a special place edition

It’s weird, I’m so content with my camera setup right now for video I dont actually know what to spend my free time doing.

I used to spend all my time checking out forums, websites, and argue about cameras on twitter.

I feel lost....maybe I should buy an S1H to feel normal.
