It seems pretty likely there will be a whole wave of new remote working apps and services created in the next few months, as all those silicon valley engineer sit at home and get frustrated by tiny details of the stuff they use today.

Today I did an in-place upgrade from Sierra (10.12) to Catalina (10.15), and it actually worked flawlessly, and it breathed new life into this 2017 12" Macbook!

I was ready to wipe and start from scratch but I'm glad I gave this a shot because it saved me at least 2 days!

Remote worker tip: after testing oodles of options the best off-the-shelf webcam is the Logitech Brio for improving how your video meetings look. It runs on USB-C, which also makes it very easy to plug into a newer Mac without any additional software https://amzn.to/3cJECcT

Thanks to the changes in DST, now it's right either 4 or 8 months of the year 😂

Still can't believe they changed the dates and didn't just get rid of it entirely.

As a programmer, it’s 💯 × more important to not over-engineer than to “avoid tech debt”.

You’ll have to refactor and throw away code in the future anyway—it’s impossible to know what requirements will be.

The less code you have, the easier it is to replace.
