Did the video get pulled down from YouTube? It was playing fine this morning, and I returned and it doesn't work anymore.
    Aaron Parecki
Yep the stream is down now, but I just finished uploading today's videos individually! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZAeFn6dfHplUgfLOLEuHHAm1HdrIyaZ7

#writethedocs also, wish your live captions were visible on the livestream! (But overall thank you for the livestream, and the feed has been clear and consistent.)
    Aaron Parecki
I'd love to have the captions streamed on the livestream too! We'll see if we can make that happen next year.

This live stream is everything I ever wanted (besides actually being there). Feedback: There's a din from some kind of machine noise in the audio. The toggling between the stage view and the slides is great!

Great post but I think you sell short how much organizing the #indieweb community has done over the last 7-10 years.

Getting to this point to massive organization from committed enthusiasts.

What we need is not more organization but more organizers.

It is not up to the #indieweb community to grow the movement, that is your job, my, job and then it belongs to those we onboard.

Organize a HomeBrew Web club in your town. Convince a small business they need a website and not just a facebook page. Make a series of instructional videos to pass around your circles.

@aaronpk http://Webmention.io noob question. Is there anything bad someone could do with my access token? As in, should I be storing this outside my repo code?
    Aaron Parecki
All it does is allow read access to your mentions, so if you don't mind that being public it's fine to make the key public.

#37 Differenciate between personal backfeed and swarm coin Webmentions

    Aaron Parecki
I'd be happy to add a toggle to disable both kinds of backfeed. I think I will keep them enabled by default for now though.

Whoever this organization is and whatever it is they're doing, they're not doing it to or with or even in sight of the most active community of people who are trying to reinvent/decentralize social media right now.
    Aaron Parecki
ActivityPub was developed in literally the same W3C group that Webmention and Micropub were standardized in ;-) btw why no website in your twitter bio? Where can I follow your fediverse posts?

@zarfeblong Ah, I guess this would explain why they're not communicating very well.

They don't do email. They don't *know about* the Fediverse, or don't believe it's federated.

    They do chat.
    Aaron Parecki
LOL I've never even seen that paragraph and it took me a really long time to find it. Also note that was written in 2013 when that was pretty much true. Feel free to update it, it's a wiki after all. https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?title=FAQ&diff=5788&oldid=5553

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
