@aaronpk Are you using Gimp now or something else?

    Aaron Parecki
no i really don't like that software. I'm using mostly Lightroom on iOS and Affinity Photo on mac, and Keynote for some things I used to do in Photoshop too

@aaronpk Oh, I so wish Apple could dust off Aperture and do a Photoshop equivalent. Together then with Logic and Final Cut, they’d have a real contender.

    Aaron Parecki
I know right? Logic and FCP are great! I used Aperture a ton back in the day

With you on canceling Creative Cloud!

I suspect you didn’t mean it, but blood pressure in decibels… going to steal that for parenting!
    Aaron Parecki
oh it was very much intentional

What have you replaced Photoshop with?
    Aaron Parecki
I realized I was mostly editing photos in Lightroom iOS now, and using Keynote for simple layouts for YT thumbnails, and only used photoshop for really basic things like resizing images. Affinity solves that nicely.

I cancelled my Adobe CC subscription and got back $55/mo and 55gb of hard drive space
    Aaron Parecki
tbh not having to wait 12 seconds for the Photoshop "Export As" dialog to load anymore has reduced my blood pressure by at least 12db

If I could only figure out how to draw my comic using SOMETHING other than Photoshop. Grrrrr!

(Or at least learn to do character animation, so I didn’t feel like such a chump for keeping my subscription…)
    Aaron Parecki
shh don't tell anyone but I actually switched to the $10/mo Lightroom plan because I edit all my photos in Lightroom for iOS still

Those numbers are double what researchers found typical for airplane cabins.

    Aaron Parecki
I'm sure it depends on the plane. This one was a small Q400 turboprop and the flight was only 27 minutes long.

Poll: Is using "foo" and "bar" in code examples helpful?
    Aaron Parecki
I remember being really confused about what foo and bar meant. It was something I had to learn in addition to learning programming. Similar to back when all the GW-BASIC examples used single-letter variable names and I was like but what if you need more than 26 🤔

I've been carrying this co2 sensor with me the last few days and it's really interesting to see how different various environments like outside/cars/plane are. It also has a barometric pressure sensor. Guess when the flight was.

I've had this in my wish list for over a year but seeing @vibronet's recent series of tweets pushed me over the edge to get it for this latest trip 😅 https://twitter.com/vibronet/status/1561391717508558848

I'm working on a list of YouTuber products. Help me flesh it out. I'm talking about original, physical products, not digital, not merch, and not just "signature editions"
Applicable examples: LTT screwdriver, Peter's multitool, Josh's Orbit.
But I need many more. Any niche. 🤓🙏

The way I like to think about it is:

If the client knows when the AT will (likely) expire, it can proactively refresh the token.

There is nothing the client can do differently if it knows when the RT will (likely) expire.
    Aaron Parecki
Yes, the client needs to be able to handle unexpected expiration of both the AT and RT, which tbh is more an argument that the AS should never return expires_in than an argument that it should return it for both tokens.
