Can you write on the screen for live?
    Aaron Parecki
Yeah sorta, my plan is to do a video tutorial explaining how. There are a few steps and I haven't quite got it all pieced together yet.

@aaronpk what one should I get? Draw on screen for live as well as control chat and graphic for photoshop and drawing in general?
    Aaron Parecki
I don't have much experience with those yet, but I just got the Wacom One to start experimenting!

And there it is… OK, do you know of a cheap hardware solution for this? Any of the BMD mini converters, perhaps? If you don’t know I’ll ask their support. Thanks!
    Aaron Parecki
as far as I've seen the $300 Decimator is the cheapest you'll get, unless your monitor has flip built in

That's funny, they just told me the opposite to try to fix the bug I found where the alpha channel isn't included in the rendered clip

We finally did it! @NotionHQ's text editor has been completely retooled to combine the flexibility of β€œblocks” with the familiar feeling of a traditional word processor. Congrats @jitl @jdan and @toolness!

I'm honestly surprised that noone protested before (or they did just nothing happened?). Then again: it took me months to contact support as well.
    Aaron Parecki
If my own development patterns are any indication... I put off migrating until the last possible second because who wants to do all that work a year in advance πŸ˜… I suspect they're about to get a bunch of angry support emails soon

I believe you did. Here is an excerpt from the specification: https://www.oauth.com/oauth2-servers/access-tokens/access-token-response/

And here is your API reference: https://oauth.withings.com/api-reference/#operation/oauth2-getaccesstoken

    The two obviously don't match.

Also, I tried to send an email through your website and it didn't work (nothing happened).
    Aaron Parecki
lol yeah that's pretty bad, please don't ship this @Withings. That is not OAuth anymore, and it won't work with any OAuth libraries.

Looking at some of my old videos.

Partly proud that they still get views, and that I at least TRIED a few things that I thought would work.

Also spending time right now editing out those things (such as me embedding a "lut sale" for luts that don't exist anymore - sigh)
    Aaron Parecki
wonder if youtube would ever allow us to do our own dynamic ad inserts on our own videos πŸ€”

I write my slides in Markdown and have Reveal.JS make them look fancy: https://revealjs.com/markdown/
    Aaron Parecki
Yeah these things are definitely nice, but I should have clarified, I can't change the way I create the slides, I just want to be able to display PDFs on my site that way it doesn't matter how I created them

As Iβ€˜m a huge #Markdown fan: there a loads of tools that convert Markdown into slides (of all formats). Plus, Markdown always goes to HTML (and PDF, and MS DOC, and RTF, and …). Maybe start here? https://gist.github.com/johnloy/27dd124ad40e210e91c70dd1c24ac8c8

Wow. No matter how far down i scroll, I can’t find a Twitter space that interests me. It’s all sports and NFTs.
At feature launch there was far more variety… another form of carcinization?
    Aaron Parecki
I didn't know you could scroll thru twitter spaces, I only ever see them when they pop up at the top of my Twitter Home Screen πŸ˜…

Latest toy, runs Linux, weighs 24kb and is the size of a TV with much less resolution. Writing bash scripts that make loud clicky noises is fun. Recommended.
    Aaron Parecki
I didn't realize you could get access to the Linux system on it... I've just been interacting with mine through their API. How'd you manage that?

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
