TIL you can still buy Casio calculator watches on Amazon, but they are "vintage" now
    Aaron Parecki
this tweet was brought to you by me being frustrated at my Fitbit watch and realizing the only thing I really want a watch to do is tell time and be a calculator, neither of which the Fitbit does well

Well it wouldn't be liveestreaming if my computer didn't crash and everything stopped working 10 minutes before I hit live right? 🤣
    Aaron Parecki
This is why I don't like livestreaming using computers 🙈

Hey youtubers: myself and 3 youtubers want to do a group chat and stream it live to youtube. What's the cheapest and most reliable way to do this? It'll probably be a few hours long. Streamyard? Realstream? Skype via OBS? I've never hosted so could use some input.
    Aaron Parecki
Streamyard by far is the simplest option. Lots of other good options but most of them will require more fiddling on either the host or guest side.

    Aaron Parecki

@ton @wouter Also, Aperture, his social feed aggregator, allows for filtering/muting entries by type, though this generally only works for h-feeds (for which it works really well). I myself don't offer a likes RSS feed, although one could always "generate" one using a service like Granary. On side note: one thing I dislike about "IndieWeb" RSS feeds is the lack of context for replies, bookmarks, etc. (There's many more things I dislike about a whole lot of RSS feeds out there.)

    Aaron Parecki
That's mostly a limitation of RSS, not the fault of any one website in particular. That's the reason we're moving to h-feed, so that the context of replies and such *can* be included in the feed. Take a look at my replies page for example https://aaronparecki.com/replies

umm so this is awkward… my high school took over that building after La Luna closed so yes I have used that restroom quite a lot thank you

@hjertnes I wish I could remember the article I read that made me question making any change right away... Maybe it was something about FLoC not going anywhere so blocking was premature? I'm definitely against all forms of user tracking.

    Aaron Parecki
    This one? https://seirdy.one/2021/04/16/permissions-policy-floc-misinfo.html

"If your website does not include JS that calls document.interestCohort(), it will not leverage Google’s FLoC. Explicitly opting out will not change this."
