Wow. That’s crazy... is the sky still red?

    Aaron Parecki
I haven't seen blue sky in days

Yikes. Seems like you've found a project at least. How you holding up otherwise?

    Aaron Parecki
Fine, just not happy about spending 48+ hours in this air, kinda worried about the possible side effects of this a few weeks from now

@aaronpk What sensor are you using?

    Aaron Parecki
I added a link to it in the post! It's a PMS5003 sensor

@aaronpk What do you use for inside quality readings? I’ve seen a few reports from indoors. I have to assume the quality inside my house is no better than others, but I’d like to know for sure. (I am running the fan of my furnace which is equipped with an American Standard Accuclean integrates electrostatic filter. M)

    Aaron Parecki
I had a PMS5003 sensor that I hooked up to my home automation platform. It's the sensor used in many retail AQI meters

Air filter duct tape trash bag fan
    Aaron Parecki
That implies I have an air filter lying around. Believe me if there was one anywhere nearby in this town I would have done this already.

Uh, not super sealed. 172 AQI is still utter shite. You need a filter, man.
    Aaron Parecki
Well the hallway is like 240 so...

That’s cool. And you need better filters. How are you scrubbing internal air? Now I’m really curious what the AQI is in my house and studio!!
    Aaron Parecki
I need filters at all! Just running the AC right now, but the exterior windows are super sealed and the apartment hallway air is filtered

@aaronpk Which sensor are you using? I'm looking to do something similar before winter (air quality gets hazardous around New Year where I live).

    Aaron Parecki
It's a PMS5003 sensor attached to esphome. They're mostly out of stock but you can find them on Amazon or Aliexpress if you're willing to wait a while for them to arrive.

Which sensor and hub do you have? I've been wanting a wearable sensor that also measures tvoc, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide
    Aaron Parecki
It's the PMS5003 sensor that's in a whole bunch of devices. It'd be a real challenge to make it wearable but that sounds like fun!

Is the inside AQI so much lower just from keeping the doors / windows closed, or do you have active filtration running?
    Aaron Parecki
We're in an apartment so there's some building wide filtering for the hallway. Keeping all outside doors/windows closed, and running an AC. No special filters tho.

I like being able to work on a document on the top screen but also having my research up in the bottom screen.

I LOVE being able to have my calendar up as I'm responding to emails.

God I would pay so much money for this hardware to run iOS.
    Aaron Parecki
Why isn't it running Windows? 🧐 I'd actually consider trying it out in that case

See like I do try to be slightly accommodating because it's like a temporary action with little residual versus like having to vacuum and clean if someone stepped all over with shoes on my carpet

For #vegans, do y'all allow people to bring/eat non-vegan dishes into your home? (on par with shoe removal with entry)

Has anyone successfully converted from a night owl to a person who wakes up at a normal time? Say wake up at 8am and go to bed at 12pm?
My 3am-11am routine is affecting my life since the people I work with are normal humans.
    Help.
