@aaronpk Is this a common occurrence? I don't keep track of the goings on with Facebook since deleting my profile many years ago, so just curious if there are examples of this happening to anyone.

    Aaron Parecki
It's happened to people I know. There's also a variation where someone makes up a fake person and starts friending people from the same high school or college to get into a network.

Want: For every ounce of water I drink, I want to move $1 into an account. At the end of the day, the difference from my goal should be subtracted from the account (making it necessary for me to be consistent, lol). I’ll never be able to make up for that lost water.

@aaronpk Hi Aaron! How do we sign up to volunteer for @indiewebcamp ? Not sure if the webchat stream is the best place...
    Aaron Parecki
Hi! Yep chat is the best, that's where we all hang out and coordinate this stuff! The web chat is kinda awkward, but you can join from Slack or IRC or Matrix as well! https://indieweb.org/discuss

You’re right. That hit home. And to the original point, change of product terminology is a minor thing in itself. I think it’s the concern about setting precedents - you have to then apply same logic to everything.
    Aaron Parecki
Yes, we should remove racist and other problematic terminology from everything. It's mind boggling how many different industries terms like these have been embedded in for so long.

I would recommend tombstoning instead of deleting, just to make sure nobody else can make an account with your name. Delete all the posts, disable tagging, etc, leave a single post up that says where to find you elsewhere.

That’s why I hope a true FCPX iPad app comes. Trackpad changes everything.
    Aaron Parecki
doesn't adding a trackpad to the ipad and not using the touchscreen make it... a laptop?

@aaronpk oddly enough that csv export option only exists in my US amazon account, not in my Dutch amazon account. In the US it also only contains physical books, not e-books

    Aaron Parecki
Well that's strange. I wonder if GDPR has something to do with that.

not only do some of the pairs stupidly duplicate basic services, i've heard it breaks some gis workflows because the centroid of the township is in the borough :) better do your label placement right!

underrated tweet. most people will not know what this means or why it's significant.

I‘ve been trying to control my Twitter habit a bit by drawing instead of scrolling the timeline at the end of the night. I’m realizing how much I missed making art for no reason 💜

I’m posting it all on @dribbble if you’re a Dribbbler

Signed up for #DisneyPlus, tried to use the app to log in, nothing popped up to say how to use it, ended up having to type out a 32 character password on the TV 😬

@aaronpk did you export it from amazon somehow, or grabbed it from your email archive? If exported from Amazon, how?

    Aaron Parecki
Go to "Your Account" and "Download order reports". Also this link might work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/b2b/reports

@aaronpk Wow what an awesome idea, I would love to do that. Do you mind if I ask how you accomplished that?

    Aaron Parecki
It's a hacky bit of code but it works. Amazon provides a CSV export of your orders, so I created a database that matches the columns in the CSV, then wrote an old-school HTML form to search a couple columns.

I don't know, maybe we'll do a twitter live stream with everything. Studio tour videos don't really do all that well.
    Aaron Parecki
I dunno if I'd say that exactly... @beckiandchris have been killing it with theirs!

This might be the happiest I've ever been with my studio setup and workflow.

I'm telling you if you want to grow on YouTube you have to be willing to invest in your process over everything else.

It takes seconds for me to now start making a video. SUUUPER worth it.
    Aaron Parecki
Time for a behind the scenes studio tour?
