not only do some of the pairs stupidly duplicate basic services, i've heard it breaks some gis workflows because the centroid of the township is in the borough :) better do your label placement right!

underrated tweet. most people will not know what this means or why it's significant.

I‘ve been trying to control my Twitter habit a bit by drawing instead of scrolling the timeline at the end of the night. I’m realizing how much I missed making art for no reason 💜

I’m posting it all on @dribbble if you’re a Dribbbler

@aaronpk It took me ten years of not using it to stop accidentally typing mysql instead of myself.

    Aaron Parecki
oh yeah that's a good one too!

Signed up for #DisneyPlus, tried to use the app to log in, nothing popped up to say how to use it, ended up having to type out a 32 character password on the TV 😬

    Aaron Parecki
nooooo we have a solution for this!

@aaronpk did you export it from amazon somehow, or grabbed it from your email archive? If exported from Amazon, how?

    Aaron Parecki
Go to "Your Account" and "Download order reports". Also this link might work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/b2b/reports

@aaronpk Wow what an awesome idea, I would love to do that. Do you mind if I ask how you accomplished that?

    Aaron Parecki
It's a hacky bit of code but it works. Amazon provides a CSV export of your orders, so I created a database that matches the columns in the CSV, then wrote an old-school HTML form to search a couple columns.

I don't know, maybe we'll do a twitter live stream with everything. Studio tour videos don't really do all that well.
    Aaron Parecki
I dunno if I'd say that exactly... @beckiandchris have been killing it with theirs!

This might be the happiest I've ever been with my studio setup and workflow.

I'm telling you if you want to grow on YouTube you have to be willing to invest in your process over everything else.

It takes seconds for me to now start making a video. SUUUPER worth it.
    Aaron Parecki
Time for a behind the scenes studio tour?

It appears not, at least not 'live'. Had the email today. Understandable given the current circumstances though.

Funny timing! I've been checking the website and Twitter the last couple weeks and there were no updates! Finally got an email update this morning!

I might ask the author if they're avoiding that for some reason. Thanks.
I'm still learning this whole area myself. Am I okay feeling weird about using query strings for comms between 2 domains, or are these just normal and don't have anything really valuable with them alone?
    Aaron Parecki
There's always a risk using query strings so it depends on what it's for. This is also only affecting cookies so you can still make API requests across domains if things are set up right.

@aaronpk hi! I'm curious if you have thoughts on what this post explores https://infi.nl/nieuws/spa-necromancy/

(also yay, PSL and cookies. <-- This needs a real solution in the next several years.)
    Aaron Parecki
I don't see a mention of the "easy" option of just redirecting to the IdP to get a new token. With a well-configured IdP, that redirect step is almost instantaneous. And if you say it's not, chances are the fault is with the SPA loading too slow, so go fix that first.

The IETF has a document around offensive language (came out last year, it seems) https://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-knodel-terminology-01.html

    Aaron Parecki
n.b. unless the URL is something like "draft-ietf", it's just something someone wrote and published there. You can post one yourself here! https://datatracker.ietf.org/submit/

"Quoteback" certainly looks like a cross between #webmention and #oembed but mostly webmention indeed. It'd be nice if the underlying workings were compatible - win-win, right?
    Aaron Parecki
It seems like Quoteback is a tool to make fancy looking blockquotes that you can put into your own blog post? If your blog sends webmentions then it would Just Work™ right?

Why is it hard to understand Jews have been victims of and beneficiaries of white supremacy? (also worth noting, “I don’t remember rioting about it either” is an anti-Semitic trope that we were/are passive and needed Gentiles to save us, when we absolutely resisted)
    Aaron Parecki
I mean yes, but I don't think this is the biggest issue at the moment?
