@aaronpk @codebear just so I am grasping the concept, this is a standardised pingback?
    Aaron Parecki
@octothorpe @codebear Yes, the mechanism is very similar to Pingback, but without the XMLRPC

An @oregonlive commenter described me as "having too much time on my hands" for leading Bowie V Prince. I say this: http://blog.mrmeyer.com/2009/you-have-no-life/

sad to see that the new @w3c "Webmention" ignores @theiana #RFC 5988 registry for link relations on the web. time to sort this out, fellas.
    Aaron Parecki
@dret We were following the lead of the HTML5 spec in referencing the microformats rel registry.

@aaronpk @vtcraghead @enf yea moves is neat, but it is Facebook and doesn't go full-GPS
    Aaron Parecki
@iandees @vtcraghead @enf Is that cuz Android? My Moves tracks are always spot-on. Tho that might be because I'm also running my tracker.

@aaronpk well, if the server you're hitting is on the internet, it's not as if you've avoided cloud dependencies :) Glad you like it!

@electricimp Ironically I'm actually just trying to send a POST to a server on the same network at home!

wow I'm impressed you got that all hooked up! This was definitely not ready for prime time yet!

I just fixed up https://compass.p3k.io/ since I'm going to be using that starting next week. If you want to continue using these, you should switch to the p3k one, since the other one you found will likely be deleted occasionally.

I haven't documented the "trip" feature yet, but you likely saw it if you used the app. I'll have docs soon, but basically it makes a Micropub post to your server when a trip is completed. This is how I'm going to be tracking my bike rides and runs from now on!
