@pjf This is great! Looks like it's come a long way since you presented it at the last indiewebcamp!

@aaronpk Is that in 2.9 or just in your install? I'm running 2.8 and have a small list of tweaks I need to make on my reader.
    Aaron Parecki
@erinjo Just in my crazy experimental fork right now. https://github.com/aaronpk/selfoss I do not recommend installing it right now!

Interesting! One thing I do when I posse to twitter is I have a preview of what the tweet will look like, including truncation and adding the citation link at the end. It's helpful to see what it's going to look like on twitter so that I can change a few words around to make it look better when truncated. In rare circumstances I've even hand-edited the twitter text to be slightly different from the automatically truncated version. Not sure how this would fit in with this plan, but it's certainly interesting!

Google+ is full of Android lovers, one just told me he was uncircling me for sharing a link to an iPhone only app!
    Aaron Parecki
@marshallk "Uncircling" sounds so much more dramatic than "unfollowing"

@pdxgene Guess I'm not sure how to prevent it from just happening again. One thought is to stop using email: http://aaron.pk/n4Tx1

@aaronpk timestamp is obj-c timestamp… milliseconds since 2001, but we’re going to make this friendlier.
    Aaron Parecki
@GetReporter I'm having a tough time parsing the timestamp, and seems really fragile. Could you use ISO8601? e.g. "2014-02-09T13:12:28-0700" I know it's kind of a pain in iOS, but here's some example code: https://github.com/aaronpk/PushupCounter-iOS/blob/87959778ed973d9b65cf8fad4caea5311f0c3190/PushupCounter/PKDataManager.m#L85

@aaronpk we have no servers. reports are only stored locally and to dropbox (if activated).
    Aaron Parecki
@GetReporter I'm also curious about the prompts. How do you determine the schedule? Is it truly unpredictable? More background here: http://messymatters.com/tagtime/#UNP

@GetReporter That's awesome news, thanks! I bet it makes things easier on your end too. Would love to hear how you came to the decision to not run a server. I'm continually disappointed by the number of silos that exist for this kind of stuff. More of my thoughts here: http://aaron.pk/a4SV1

@felton @getreporter This app looks awesome! Couple questions:

    1) What format is the timestamp in the JSON output? I don't recognize 413656282.490991

    2) What does the app do with the photos? Is it uploading them anywhere? What is the expected use of the photo array in the JSON output?

    3) Is the app sending reports to your server, or just storing everything locally and saving directly to my Dropbox account from the phone?

@postgis To be clear, @jerrysievert from our office has been discussing it over the weekend on the mailing list. We were somewhat surprised to see that AWS launched their service on the version with this bug!

@mperham Looks like I'll be able to do a good job of determining overall load by monitoring queue latency https://github.com/mperham/sidekiq/wiki/Monitoring#wiki-monitoring-queue-latency Planning to pipe this metric into CloudWatch to dynamically create more workers as needed!
