@bmndr: It sure would be nice if the beeminder API had a timezone field as a UTC offset,as well as just a plain string (Australia/Melbourne)
    Aaron Parecki
@pjf @bmndr Yeah, converting between named zones and offsets is always annoying, best if APIs can provide it. I also made my timezone API return the offset in seconds, just for good measure! https://github.com/geoloqi/Timezone-API#example

@BarnabyWalters My favorite for that use case is Redis. It's easy to set up and use, I often use it to move data between apps written in different languages too.

I really dig IndieAuth (http://indieauth.com). Would love to see the process be more human-first when things go wrong.
    Aaron Parecki
@meyerweb Thanks! Yes please feel free to make suggestions. Writing error messages is hard! Now that you can log in, you can add suggestions to the wiki http://indiewebcamp.com/indieauth

@aaronpk what service did you buy your number from?
    Aaron Parecki
@mejackreed It's on Google Voice right now. Luckily number portability regulations make it easy to move if needed! I might switch to @twilio to do some fancier automation stuff at some point. Here are some fun brainstorming ideas from a couple years ago! http://indiewebcamp.com/Own_Your_Phone_Number

would be cool if apple's touchid could act like goog authenticator –– that is, use the fingerprint as a way to generate a token for app auth
    Aaron Parecki
@naveen Totally! As soon as there's an API in iOS I'm going to make a TouchID plugin for IndieAuth.com!

It seems that Idno is designed to use different data stores using this class: https://github.com/idno/idno/blob/master/Idno/Core/DataConcierge.php, is that correct? If so, it should be possible to swap that out with a wrapper that stores things in Postgres. Do you see any issues with that? I would be more comfortable running this under Postgres or MySQL to avoid introducing a new piece of technology on my stack.
