@julien51 I agree with @lauraglu. The reason I'm not engaging is because I've never felt welcome prioritising UX in the #indieweb community.

@aaronpk It would allow people to log in with their email, which is more familiar than a URL: a WF look-up gives you their profile page URL.
@ddossot The problem is it's too easy to not own your email address (@gmail.com, etc) so it's not really an "indie" identifier. The point of IndieAuth is to encourage people to own their online identity. -

@aaronpk +1 for promoting WebFinger. Note Content-Type is text/plain for http://parecki.com/profile/aaron@parecki.com which doesn't help parsing (could be XML).

@BarnabyWalters I agree that venues/profile/contacts fall into that category, but I would encourage you to keep essays and longer writings in the "dated" category. The problem with de-emphasizing the date of longer posts is that they do actually age over time, there are many articles I've written that I'm glad have the date 2004 on them because they're not as relevant anymore. I used to publish articles under a flat hierarchy, and over several years grew to regret that. Finally this update with #p3k I added redirects for the old paths to the new dated path structure. #indieweb
