  • What's missing from this photo? 🤔😅 I got a chance to try out the new @decksaver cover for the #ATEMMiniExtreme and it's a pretty great way to protect the device from dust and wandering cat paws. I also designed my #pk1stand specifically to make sure the DeckSaver would still fit on top!
  • The Røde Wireless Go II are quickly becoming my favorite wireless mics. The built in backup recording in the mic transmitters is such a useful feature! Keep an eye out on my YouTube channel for some upcoming tutorials and reviews with this!
  • It's vaccination day! 💉
  • For the last few months we've been weighing the cat to keep track of her recovery from surgery in December. She now voluntarily jumps into this box on the scale around the time we have been weighing her. Creature of habit I guess.
  • Tonight I'm drinking a glass of bubbly to toast all the little robots that are hard at work producing the first batch of my #pk1stand for the ATEM Mini Extreme! We're trying to get ahead of the orders before the launch date so we can ship as many as we can at launch!
  • Just 6 days til we launch preorders for the new PK1 Extreme stand for the ATEM Mini Extreme! In my latest YouTube livestream I gave a sneak peek of the prototype and shared how I engineered this "by feel" instead of using real math. #pk1stand
  • Sneak peek of my rig I'll be streaming from on Sunday for the giveaway livestream! Streaming and chat and overlays using the YoloBox, a wireless camera with the Hollyland Mars 300 Pro, the Rode Wireless Go for audio, and an original ATEM Mini for additional camera angles, and of course my ATEM Mini Stand! Make sure you check out my latest livestream on YouTube for instructions on how to enter the giveaway! Only a few days left!

  • I would have been in Prague this week, instead I am staring at my computer screens giving a presentation from my desk. Some day we'll be able to travel again. Sigh.
  • I had so much fun designing this #3dprinted ATEM Mini stand, and I'm so excited to be able to offer it for sale as a real life product you can actually buy! It's available now shipping from the US, UK, or as a downloadable STL file to print yourself! It will soon be available shipping from Australia as well! Check the link in my bio for more info! Designed using @shapr3dapp on my iPad, printed on the Prusa Mini+, and distributed by @dvestore, it takes a team! #blackmagicdesign #atemmini

  • I might be slightly addicted to #3DPrinting... "I wish I had some way to hang my headphones on this monitor without blocking the screen" Thirty minutes later I designed and printed this little hook!

  • I did it, I painted all the rackmount gear white! This is more or less the finished result of my new streaming desk all wired up and functional! I even replaced the fans in the VideoHub so that it's much much quieter. Thanks to the VideoHub, I can electronically rewire the desk, routing any video source like my computer monitor to any of the displays, and each input on the ATEM Mini is assignable to any video source. The back of this is still a bit of a mess, but my 3D printed converter rack did a decent job of cleaning things up a bit. The Stream Deck is connected to a Raspberry Pi in the rack so that it's always on even without my computer there. It's rigged up to control the studio and ceiling lights as well as the heater. #blackmagicdesign #atemmini #deskporn #homeautomation #streamdeck #raspberrypi #livestreaming #streamingrig #overkill
  • It's pretty amazing being able to go from an idea in your head to a finished product in just a day. I've been spending some time learning 3D modeling and 3D printing and designed this modular stackable rack for these #BlackmagicDesign converter boxes. I've really been enjoying using the 3D modeling software on my iPad to take advantage of the finger gestures for navigation and the Apple Pencil for the actual modeling. It's worked surprisingly better than I was expecting it to, probably because the last time I used any 3D modeling software was like 20 years ago. Each shelf in the rack is its own piece, so you can stack as many as you want. The top shelf is a special print for the top cover to fit into. The base is slanted 9 degrees so that when this is set on top of my device in the rack mount the stack stands up straight. #3DPrinting #PrusaMini #Shapr3D
  • the great thing about Zoom karaoke is nobody sings in sync anyway so you don't even notice the Zoom delay
