More than a decade ago, @leolaporte explained why he created @TWiT instead of using YouTube/Facebook as his primary platform.

He thought it was just bad business to build your house on somebody else's foundation.

    He was right.

A few simple, unintuitive things that everyone around the world can do tonight to support Ukraine and protect yourselves.

    1. Update your software on every device you have.

Economic sanctions will make Russia desperate for cash. Randsomware is an easy way to get it. 1/*

I get that, but as a speaker, being on stage with your panel is irreplaceable. Sure if everyone is on an Oprah-level set then maybe. But the social aspect of being in the same room is very special. You’re in a different head space than sitting in your office on a webcam.

Idea for #YouTube let us set a Superchat/Sticker/Thanks goal on our channel, so our audience can know what we plan to do with the content. This could help us be transaprent and also help our audience be apart of the progress towards goals. What do you think about this?
